Kling AI is Kuaishou's in-house video generation model, launched in June 2024 and a top-tier Chinese-language AI video tool. The Kling web app (overseas at klingai.com, domestic at klingai.kuaishou.com) supports both text-to-video and image-to-video at 5-second and 10-second base durations, with high-definition output up to 1080p. It leads the field in Chinese semantic understanding, character motion, facial consistency, and camera control.

Core capabilities span four layers. First, text-to-video: natural-language descriptions of subject, action, camera movement, and style generate matching clips, with explicit camera instructions (push, pull, pan, track, dolly, orbit). Second, image-to-video: a reference image animates the subject per specified actions and camera moves while keeping the face and clothing stable. Third, character consistency: Kling's character model accepts face or character references, keeping the same face and body across multiple clips — a key capability for weekly motion comic and short drama production. Fourth, workflow: a web timeline, batch task queue, and API access, with integration paths to ComfyUI, CapCut, Jimeng, and other tools.
