Where it fits in the workflow
About: MoneyPrinterTurbo is an MIT-licensed open-source project that automates the full short-video production chain around a single goal — turn a topic or keyword into a complete short clip. Written in Python, ships with both a Web UI and a REST API.
Core capabilities:
- LLM-driven scriptwriting: generates narration and shot breakdown from a topic or keywords
- Automatic footage matching: pulls matching horizontal or vertical clips from a stock library per the script
- Subtitle synthesis: rolls subtitles in sync, supports Chinese and English
- Background music: picks a fitting BGM from a built-in library or an external URL
- Batch production: produces multiple variants on the same topic with one request
Best for: self-media short-video channels, product promo clips, marketing ad creative rotation, educational content repurposing, and AI-tool review channels.
Pricing: open-source under MIT, self-host on local or own infrastructure, no cloud lock-in, BYO LLM API key.
Onboarding: a Python environment is enough; Docker Compose is provided; local Web UI boots in 5–10 minutes.
Status: nearly 96k GitHub stars, 14k forks, actively pushed as of 2026-07.
